Carrie Slaughter

Carrie was born and raised in San Francisco. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish and her Master’s in Public Administration from San Francisco State University, where she also earned bilingual teaching credentials in multiple subjects. She has over 35 years of public service experience ranging from a classroom teacher to a labor negotiator. In addition, she represented Colma on the San Mateo County Vector Control Board.

Carrie has always wanted to move to the Town of Colma, and in 2016, she did just that. Carrie was appointed to Council in November 2022 to fulfill Council Member Diana Colvin’s remaining Council term, which ended November 2024.

Carrie also serves on the Town’s Economic Development Subcommittee.
