A clearer public civic presence for your organization

CivicCause helps organizations maintain a public presence, connect their work to causes and issues, publish statements and events, and stay visible when relevant civic activity is moving.

The goal is contextual visibility and civic clarity, not promotional distribution.

Why create an organization profile?

CivicCause helps organizations show where their work connects to local issues, meetings, and decisions through reviewed organization profiles.

Free organization profiles keep basic information visible. Paid organization access lets organizations link themselves to causes and issues to show where their work connects to public decisions.

Local civic work takes time, coordination, and constant attention

Meetings, agendas, issues, and decision points are spread across different bodies and systems. For organizations already doing this work, staying informed takes real effort. For organizations trying to engage more effectively, it can be hard to know where to start. CivicCause is built to reduce that friction and make public civic context easier to maintain.

Organizations can maintain a public civic presence without turning CivicCause into a marketing channel
Causes, issues, meetings, organizations, and public summaries are connected in one civic view
System-generated Signals keep relevant civic movement visible without looking like promotional posting
Admin guidance, cause-interest insights, and clear public engagement links help teams decide what to complete next

What organizations can do now

Public organization presence
Maintain a public organization page that helps residents understand who you are, what issues you are linked to, and where you show up across CivicCause.
Cause and issue linkage
Connect your organization to causes and tracked issues so your work appears in the right civic context.
Statements and events
Publish statements and events that residents can review directly on your organization page.
Ways to Engage
Add clear external links on your public organization page so people can learn more, get involved, stay connected, or optionally support the work through external platforms.
Signals tied to civic activity
Organization Signals can surface upcoming relevant meetings and recent public summaries tied to your linked causes and issues.

Make your voice part of real decisions

Organizations can now publish comments directly on specific agenda items — right where residents are reviewing what’s happening.

Instead of sending out separate templates or hoping people are informed, your position appears alongside the issue itself.

Residents can then use your comment as a starting point when submitting their own input — making it easier for them to engage and support your work.

Publish comments on real agenda items
Appear where residents are already looking
Make it easier for others to take action
Create your first agenda item comment

How organization Signals work

Organization Signals are system-generated. They are not organization-authored posts and they are not promotional placements.

Today, Signals can surface upcoming relevant meetings and recent public meeting summaries tied to the causes and tracked issues linked to your organization.

Those Signals appear on public organization pages, and residents who follow your organization may also see those same civic signals in their CivicCause account.

What organization admin includes

Organization admin is built to help teams understand their current civic presence and what to complete next.

Be visible where decisions are being understood

CivicCause is organized around issues, not organizations.

People come to CivicCause to understand topics like housing, public safety, and local development. Your organization appears in that context — alongside meetings, leaders, and decisions tied to those issues.

This creates visibility within the flow of civic decision-making, not just a standalone page.

What residents can understand from your organization page

Who your organization is and what it works on
Which causes and tracked issues your organization is linked to
Statements and events your team has published
Relevant civic meetings and recent summaries surfaced through Signals
How your organization connects to broader cause interest and civic activity

How AI is used

CivicCause uses AI to help make civic information easier to understand — including summarizing complex materials and highlighting relevant issues.

AI is used as an assistive tool and clarity layer, not as a replacement for public records or human judgment.

The structure of the platform and how information is presented is shaped by people. AI helps reduce complexity so organizations can focus on what matters.

Organization Participation

CivicCause shows where your organization's issues are appearing in public meetings, so you don't miss important decisions.

What happens after you start:
1.Find your organization or submit a new one
2.We review and approve your profile
3.You can manage your presence and link to causes
4.Upgrade anytime to publish and expand your reach

Organizations can start with a public page and then use CivicCause participation to add cause linkage, issue linkage, statements, events, and Signals.
