*ATTEND THE "MINNESOTA NEIGHBORS" FILM SCREENING FOR UNITED AGAINST HATE WEEK*

Next Wednesday, October 17th, District 4 resident Patrice O’Neil is screening her powerful new film "Minnesota Neighbors” at Oakland's Grand Lake Theater. The film profiles the powerful force of Minnesota immigrants and neighbors standing together during the ICE surge earlier this year. The event will feature insights from Bay Area leaders of this movement, as well as discussions about how to spread lessons learned from Minnesota. Patrice is the co-founder of Not In Our Town, the national anti-hate organization which is putting on this film in conjunction with *United Against Hate Week* ( https://gipdv.r.sp1-brevo.net/mk/cl/f/sh/1t6Af4OiGsE8LShOtRyfxFkziyKVBp/SnOeiod2TrpD ). I am also authoring legislation that will be heard at City Council on October 20th during United Against Hate Week that will join Oakland with hundreds of cities across the country in standing up to hate and promoting solidarity among our diverse neighborhoods. *Get tickets to this exclusive screening* *here* ( https://gipdv.r.sp1-brevo.net/mk/cl/f/sh/1t6Af4OiGsEagAtpHo4b7Vop6nJEtt/3BCgUrQW0y1u ).
