Email from District 3 As a reminder, City Council is in recess this July and will resume in August. Dear neighbors, Hope you're enjoying your summer so far! While City Council is in recess through the end of the month, your District 3 office is still here for your needs. Next month, my team and I will be marching at Silicon Valley Pride — and we want you to join us! Click here to RSVP and sign up for your D3 Pride shirt. Yours in community, County of Santa Clara Grapevine Recall District 3 residents should know that the County of Santa Clara is recalling an estimated 1,180 grapevine plants that may harbor the glassy-winged sharpshooter. This invasive pest is capable of spreading Pierce’s disease, a fatal disease to grapevines which also harms other crops and plants. County agricultural staff will go door-to-door to customers who purchased the grapevine plants and leave collection supplies and instructions for preparing the plants for pickup, and will return on a scheduled date to collect the plants for proper inspection and disposal. Additional information is available at cepascc.org/gwss-costco. Please contact priscilla.yeaney@cep.sccgov.org with additional questions. Delivery Robots Community Meeting In May 2026, delivery robots started roaming San José sidewalks, delivering food to District 3 residents and workers. Now that some companies are considering deploying larger, faster delivery robots in our bike lanes, Department of Transportation Staff and representatives from the delivery robot industry to share your input on draft city rules to regulate these devices. Ask questions and share your thoughts on July 21, 2026, 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. Spanish and Vietnamese interpretation will be available. To request interpretation in other languages, or other accommodations, please email colin.heyne@sanjoseca.gov. Register at bit.ly/robot-delivery-26. Diridon Parking Lot Closure The parking lot south of Santa Clara Street between Barack Obama Blvd. and S.
