Tom McCune
Tom McCune, Belmont resident since 2009; He served as Chair of the Planning Commission and a member of the Finance Commission before being appointed to fill a vacant seat on the City Council in October, 2019. Tom holds degrees in engineering and architecture from the University of Kansas and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He also studied at the School of Environmental Studies, University College, London.
Tom is licensed as an architect in California and several other states, and has focused on public buildings, historic renovations, housing, and commercial facilities. Before moving to Silicon Valley, Tom served as Vice President of Property Services and Development for the Tennessee Valley Authority, an electric utility corporation and natural resources management agency. He is a director of the Belmont Heights Civic Improvement Association, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and a member of CORENET, the Corporate Real Estate Executives Network.
