Robin Pang-Maganaris
Robin Pang-Maganaris is a proud Belmont resident. Having lived here nearly 30 years with her husband, Gary, and raising both of her children, Kelsey and Steven, she has been privileged to experience the benefits and joys of living in Belmont.
Robin grew up in Hawai’i and moved to California to attend Santa Clara University where she received a B.S. in Psychology. She later attended San Jose State University and received a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential and Masters in Elementary Education. At Notre Dame de Namur, she received a Tier 1 Administrative Credential that allowed her to be a principal. Finally, she received a Doctorate in Educational Leadership focusing on Social Justice from Cal State East Bay.
An educator by profession, Robin taught for 16 years and then worked as a principal for the last 14 years. She served as Nesbit School’s principal from 2011-2020 during which time the school grew from a TK-5 school to the first TK-8 school in Belmont. In June of 2022, Robin retired from public education allowing her the flexibility to run for City Council. Robin is also serving on San Jose State’s Family Advisor Board.
