In the age of social media, our youth are increasingly exposed to online extremism, violence, and hate. Algorithms often steer adolescents toward provocative content, which can foster isolation, deepen division, and in some cases, contribute to radicalization.

I invite you to join my office for an in-person town hall to discuss this important issue. We will explore the data, current trends, and what we can do as a community to better protect our teenagers and young adults, with a distinguished panel of experts in the field: * Oren Segal – SVP of Counter-Extremism and Intelligence, Anti-Defamation League * Dr. Sunny Xun Liu – Director of Research, Stanford Social Media Lab * Kyle Biebesheimer – FBI Special Agent

I hope you can join me for this important conversation. Please RSVP here [https://lcmspubcontact.lc.ca.gov/PublicLCMS/LinkTracking.php?id=715349&eaid=422087&url=https%3A%2F%2Flcmspubcontact.lc.ca.gov%2FPublicLCMS%2FSurveysDirect_v2.php%3Fdistrict%3DSD13%26survey%3D515&tid=SD13C1533396520].

Sincerely,
